The Spicy Truth will highlight ethical issues and case studies in a captivating way. Each hour will showcase surprising ethics challenges that individuals face across industries. Live actors will set up each scenario. Experts will give each ethics scenario context and speak to the critical thinking necessary in the workplace. Q&A and meaningful discussions between lawyers, accountants, and insurance professionals are woven throughout the event. 


3.5 General CE credit hours will be given for CFP (financial planners). 3.0 Ethics credit hours will be given for CPE (accountants). 3.0 Ethics credit hours will be given for Insurance. Pending: 3.0 Ethics credit hours for CLE (attorneys). Engaging professional development is available to all others regardless of profession.

Thomas is now a globe-trotting filmmaker whose films have been on the floor of congress to change laws, helped win CNN Hero awards, built orphanages, brought immediate disaster relief, and now, with SOUFRA, funded the first-ever children center inside of a refugee camp. He is not just a filmmaker, he is a force multiplier for lasting social change.

Art and Soul Restaurants

The executive chef and co-owner of Table fifty-two and Art and Soul restaurants, Art Smith has received the culinary profession’s highest awards and has cooked for some of the world’s most famous celebrities. In 1997, Smith became the personal, day-to-day chef to Oprah Winfrey, a position that lasted 10 years. Smith now coordinates and cooks for the headline-grabbing special events that Ms. Winfrey hosts all around the world.

In 2003, he founded Common Threads, a non-profit organization that teaches children about diversity and tolerance through the world’s great cultures. In 2007, the prestigious James Beard Foundation named Smith Humanitarian of the Year. He was inducted into the Chicago Culinary Museum's Hall of Fame in 2010. September 30th 2010 was proclaimed by Richard M. Daley, Mayor of The City of Chicago as Chef Art Smith Day in Chicago.
